ND Roadster 990S Result ECU Original Ver has been completed. After trial and error, it was finally completed. I have experienced many things that have hidden potential not only in roadsters but also in sports vehicles, no, not limited to sports vehicles. And this time, we asked Orient Works, which we have absolute trust in, to produce it, and we were able to complete something that we were satisfied with. First and foremost, an engine that runs comfortably and high response is an absolute requirement for a sports NA engine. And there is no doubt that torque up on general roads will make driving even more fun. In the end, I checked the power with a Dynapack, and the results clearly showed that the fun was up compared to the normal. 97ps with only Sakuram muffler. Although it is a Dynapack with the coefficient as it is, it is a slightly lonely result. Achieved 110ps after installing the ECU, a whopping 112% increase. The torque has also increased from 12.7K to 15.1k, but it should be noted that the peak power is higher than normal, and the maximum torque is lower. This shows that it is a more enjoyable vehicle that combines the characteristics of trying to extend to high rotation and the characteristics of trying to generate torque from lower rotation. If you are interested, or would like to experience it, you can test drive it at the event on the 25th (Sat) and 26th (Sun) of this month! Of course, other than 990S is also OK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqvPsvETr6A

ND Roadster 990S seat heater unit installed. A roadster that makes you want to enjoy the open air on sunny days even in winter. However, I don’t feel like driving while wearing it. Even so, if you turn on the heating on a regular road, the roadster will not be cold, but adding seat heaters will allow you to enjoy the open air comfortably even in winter. The problem was that I couldn’t find a place to install the two switches, which are attached to the left and right seats and also used to adjust the temperature, side by side, so I processed the panel of the USB coupler part and installed it.

ND Roadster 990S Changed suspension. I want to do something about the 990S, which moves a little too much, but the most important thing is to lower the vehicle height. If you just want to easily lower the vehicle height, use down suspension. It can be installed at 100,000 yen or less even with car height adjustment, but I definitely want to avoid spoiling the fun of 990S. In order to stabilize the movement and make the winding that is never flat enjoyable, we did not use a variable rate like a down suspension or a direct winding with a small range of movement. Lowered by grooving. Of course, if you leave it as it is, it will bottom out when you stroke it, so we have secured the stroke with a stroke up mount. The result is a cool look and a comfortable, fun ride.

ND Roadster 990S Tires and wheels were temporarily matched.
The custom-colored wheels came out earlier than the undercarriage, which I was doing a lot of trial and error, so I couldn’t stand it and made a temporary match. The wheels are Rays TE37 7J, 16-inch wheels that match the hood, and the custom-made Mag Blue color is selected to match the hood, and the wheel nuts are perfectly matched with titanium. The tires are 09 Neova, which are thicker and more rigid than normal tires, so we chose the same tire size as the stock without increasing the size or inch.
Two months after I started riding, I tried to collect parts that I was interested in, such as usability and appearance.
1 Back camera that is not set even as an option
There is no navigation setting, so it’s natural, but even if it’s a compact body, I’m curious. Therefore, it is projected on a radar with image input settings. Small screen but enough.
2 Dazzling rearview mirror
The body height is low, and the position of the rearview mirror is inevitably low, so the headlights of the car behind you are a concern at night. Since the rear vehicle seems to be approaching with high beam, both the rearview mirror and the door mirror are blue mirrors.
3 Active bonnet canceller
It is a function that activates when you collide with something and lifts the hood, but there are rumors that it will malfunction if you strengthen the suspension or run on the circuit. There is no such case among customers, but if it works, it will cost a lot of money, so I canceled it. There is also a dedicated product, but when I measured the resistance value, it was 2.2 Ω, so I wired the same resistance and completed.
4 short antenna
It’s 100% a matter of looks, but the long antenna stands out badly on the low-height ND Roadster. At first, I didn’t really care, but I changed it because I felt that the shorter one had better balance. I feel like the radio reception has gotten a little worse.
The ND Roadster 990S ran on the circuit for the first time.
I participated in the impact driving event and free driving class held at Autopolis.
I enjoyed it while being careful about going off the course and stepping stones from other cars.
From the results, KPC (Kinematic Posture Control) is great.
KPC that you can feel the benefits even on mountain passes and lane changes on highways.
The 990S has a fairly soft spring rate and no rear stabilizer, but it is fun to drive even on high-grip road circuits.
If you turn off the DSC/TCS, which is also controlled by KPC, the behavior becomes unstable and rollover occurs, and you are always forced to use tail slide control. So I think it’s better to drive with the switch on, but since stability control and traction control control will be activated, it would be great if KPC could be turned on and DSC/TCS could be turned off.
